Concrete polishing is most often used to give the finished, completed look you wanted to your concrete floor. While any surface (such as concrete countertops or others) could get a shot blasting, concrete sealer coating or be polished it is most common to see this technique used for floor polishing. When applied to your floor, your garage, your drive or somewhere else, concrete polishing will greatly increase the perceived expense of your concrete by making it really glow. These predominantly floor polishing skills can be taken and applied outdoors, to a concrete patio or path say, as a way to achieve looks and feels identical to those of certain stones like granite. This also applies to countertops where the appearance and feel of granite at a lower cost but with greater durability are so often sought after. Once the floor polishing is done, we can add an extra layer of protective concrete sealer to ensure easy maintenance and durability that warrants less expensive repair work than any other flooring alternative. To make it really stick, pretreating by shot blasting your surface to create the appropriate aggressive or light profile for better adhesion will increase the strength and durability of your sealer. The same concrete sealant can also be applied to a plethora of other surfaces post polishing, be it countertops, paths, patios, walls, whatever you wish for! 

​Having this layer of concrete sealant will not only protect but it will also make cleaning a lot easier and the stains will generally just slide right off with no issues. Whether you want your concrete colored, decorated, polished or plain, a layer of concrete sealant can be the difference between a lot of expensive repairs and having no issues while your concrete remains looking as good as it did on day one. One well applied treatment of concrete sealer, especially when done following shot blasting pretreatment, can also help increase the coefficient of friction of the surface making it more grippy.
